Trim Levels

The 2021 Yukon offers several trim levels providing those buying and leasing a diverse menu of features. The Yukon has four trim levels, which include the SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. The SLE, SLT, and Denali trims are available as a 4x2 or 4x4. The exterior is highlighted by a palette of visually appealing colors such as Midnight Blue Metallic, Cayenne Red, White Frost, Dark Sky Metallic, and Onyx Black. Depending on the trim, exterior enhancements include features such as a rear lip spoiler, trailer hitch, rear step bumper, power liftgate, roof rails, heated door mirrors, and chrome grille.


The 2021 trims are equipped with plenty of power. The SLE, SLT, and AT4 are fitted with a 5.3-liter V-8 engine supported by a 10-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto-manual. The Denali comes with a 6.2-liter V-8. The 5.3-liter engine produces 355 horsepower at 5,600 rpm, and 383 lbs.-ft. of torque at 4,100 rpm. The 6.2-liter engine produces 420 horsepower and 460 lbs.-ft. or torque at 4,100 rpm.  A 3.0-liter V-8 diesel engine producing 277 horsepower and 460 lbs.-ft. of torque at 1,500 rpm is also an option on the SLE , SLT,  and Denali.


The Yukon trims provide plenty of performance power when it comes to towing capacity. The SLE and SLT 4x2 trims tow up to 7,900 lbs., and the SLE, SLT, and AT4 4x4 trims tow up to 7,700 pounds. The Denali with rear-wheel drive tows 7,700 lbs., and the four-wheel drive up to 7,500 lbs. Each gasoline-powered trim has an estimated combined fuel economy of 18 mpg. The turbo-diesel is estimated at 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.


Wherever a trip is planned, the 2021 Yukon provides comfort with three rows of spacious seating with ample legroom. A newly designed interior features items such as a power sliding center console, wood details, four color themes, premium leather for seating, and accent stitching. Depending on the trim, technology and entertainment systems keep everyone engaged via several features such as the 10.2-inch GMC Infotainment System with 4G LTE hotspot connectivity, in-vehicle downloadable applications (apps), an advanced navigation system, and 12.6-inch rear-seat media touchscreens. Everyone can tune in and be entertained with the available 14-speaker Bose audio system with surround sound.


Safety Features

The Yukon comes with safety features that help ensure a positive experience for the SUV, driver, and passengers. Examples of standard mechanical and body features include items such as front and rear ventilated disc brakes, four-wheel ABS brakes, break resistant glass, side-impact bars, electronic stability control with anti-roll, and traction control. Drivers have access to brake assist, automatic emergency braking system, daytime running lights, panic alarm, security system, and remote keyless entry. Passengers are secured with dual front side impact air bags, rear child safety locks, multiple air bags, and overhead air bag for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rows.
